Cisco System’s New Dubai Headquarters

When Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, moved into its new office in Dubai’s Knowledge Village free zone, Electrosonic was tasked with equipping and fitting out the company’s extensive corporate A/V installation. The interior fit-out included 12 meeting rooms, five training rooms and two meeting/briefing rooms plus digital signage in the lobby. To meet Cisco’s need for an array of flexible A/V solutions throughout the building, Electrosonic furnished a wide range of equipment, including audio/video conferencing designed to facilitate communication with other Cisco offices worldwide and an array of display technology for equipment presentations and meetings with clients.

Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

The new Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) offers passengers a unique travel experience with its Integrated Environmental Media System (IEMS), a series of seven digital media features integrated into the interior architecture. Electrosonic was tasked by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) with the engineering and system integration of the IEMS components, and the build out of the IEMS control room.

Eaton, a power management company that provides energy-efficient solutions, opened a new campus in Cleveland, Ohio, which includes cutting-edge AV technology to communicate its values and its leading position in power management end markets to employees, customers, suppliers, business partners and political leaders. Electrosonic was charged with designing the AV systems, media control and power management for the Eaton Experience Center.

Hershey’s Great Chocolate Factory Mystery in 4D

Hershey’s Chocolate World in Pennsylvania opened a new 12-minute 4D show called “Hershey’s Great Chocolate Factory Mystery in 4D.” The unique real-time stereo 3D experience with 4D effects features technology from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and offers over 100 outcomes as the audience determines the direction of the story through participation. Electrosonic refurbished the 4D theater, where it had previously installed equipment in 2005, to accommodate the new show, and provided design, installation and programming services for the new audio, video and control system.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Entry Area

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which offers visitors interactive and educational activities to explore the U.S. space program, recently reconfigured the entry area into the park. Electrosonic was brought on board by Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts, which operates Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on behalf of NASA, and worked closely with Whiting-Turner Construction to provide the audio-visual design, infrastructure, equipment and programming for the background music, audio messaging and video signage for ticketing and guest relations services.

Hollywood Wax Museum

The Hollywood Wax Museum refurbished its on-the-street lobby to attract the attention of passers-by strolling Hollywood Boulevard with a number of HD video displays designed and installed by Electrosonic. The monitor displays show a montage of newly-produced clips that pay homage to all genres of Hollywood movies, ranging from classic westerns and Sci-Fi spectaculars to musical extravaganzas, war films and mysteries. The displays are capable of all showing the same images simultaneously or rotating the content.

New-York Historical Society Museum & Library

The New-York Historical Society Museum & Library, which explores the political, cultural and social history of New York, underwent a three-year, $70-million renovation that now features a new 3,400-square-foot space. Electrosonic provided the audio, video and control systems for the renovation of the city’s oldest museum. Platt Byard Dovell White Architects and Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership were the design team on the project.

University of Salford’s New MediaCityUK Development

The University of Salford recently opened a new digital learning and research space at its MediaCityUK development in Salford Quays. This space features a flexible audio-visual system that can be customised and used in creative ways to educate and entertain students and visitors. The original technical design was prepared by The Centre for Virtual Environments at the University of Salford, and Electrosonic engineered and installed the complete system.
